Di Sano Srl, was founded by Francesco Di Sano at the third generation in the processing and marketing of pistachio both under his own brand and for third parties. We establish close relationships with suppliers operating in different parts of the world (Italy, California, Argentina, Greece, Spain, Turkey etc.), guaranteeing high quality of the product itself, thanks to the constant search to identify the best supply markets. The customer's needs are our priorities, thus providing an individual and personal service that is well connected with our thinking and serving the customer. The pistachio plant belongs to the Anacardiaceae family, it can reach a height that can exceed ten meters and is native to the Middle East; its scientific name is "Pistacia vera". The pistachio fruit is a dry fruit with a characteristic green color and is enclosed in a hard shell with a woody appearance; on the market they can be found fresh or toasted and lend themselves, in addition to being consumed directly, for the preparation of other foods, including ice cream. The main pistachio producing countries are California and Turkey; in Italy it is successfully grown in Sicily where we find the renowned pistachios of Bronte, a town in the province of Catania, where they acquired the DOP mark. Pistachios consist of 3.9% water, 20% protein, 27% carbohydrates, 3% from ashes, 10% from fibers, 27% from carbohydrates, 7.60 from sugars and 1.5% from starch. The presence of minerals is fairly good, including: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, manganese, fluorine and copper. As for vitamins, we find vitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, vitamin C and vitamin E. On the amino acid front, arginine, aspartic acid and glutamic acid are those present in greater quantity, to follow we find the phenylalanine, serine and valine.
